1) Eligibility: The MetLife Central Split Second Giveaway Giants Wild Card Instant Win Game (“Game”) is open to legal residents of New York, New Jersey or Connecticut who reside within seventy-five (75) miles of MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ (“Stadium”) and are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry. In order to participate via Pocket Pass (as defined herein), you must be either inside the Stadium or within the Stadium complex. Employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (“Sponsor”), Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, LLC (“Administrator”), New York Football Giants, New Meadowlands Stadium Company, LLC, the National Football League, its member football clubs, NFL Ventures, L.P., NFL Ventures, Inc, NFL Properties LLC, NFL Enterprises LLC, and any of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and suppliers (collectively, the “Released Parties”), and any such individuals’ immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, any child, husband, wife, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to play or win a prize. Void where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state and local laws apply.
2) Promotion Period: The Promotion Period begins two (2) hours prior to kickoff and ends at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter of the New York Giants 2011 Wild Card home game currently scheduled to take place on January 8, 2012 (“Promotion Period”) Promotion Period start and end dates and times are subject to change and are dependent upon the NFL playoff schedule.
3) How To Participate: Obtain a MetLife Central Countdown Card (“Game Card”) by: 1) downloading the form to obtain a Game Card online at metlifecentral.com; 2) visiting a MetLife Central kiosk available outside the Stadium during the Promotion Period; or 3) if you have tickets to attend the game, visiting a MetLife Central kiosk located inside the Stadium during the Promotion Period, and in each case following the instructions provided to complete and submit the Game Card registration form. You may also participate by using your mobile phone with data and internet access to download and register the MetLife Pocket Pass mobile application (“Pocket Pass”) by visiting metlifecentral.com and following the directions provided. Important Note: Pocket Pass is only compatible with Android* phones and iPhones* (each, a “Compatible Device”).
For Pocket Pass Users: You will be asked to turn on your GPS location based services in order to participate via Pocket Pass. By participating, you consent to Sponsor using your phone’s GPS service in order to verify your eligibility to participate in the Game based on your location. Standard data rates apply for data sent and received. See your wireless carrier if you have any questions regarding GPS location based services, pricing plan details or device capabilities. Limit one (1) MetLife Central Countdown Card or Pocket Pass account per person. Game Card numbers, Game Cards and Pocket Passes that are fraudulent or fraudulently obtained and/or obtained through unauthorized or illegitimate channels will be void. Participation in this Game is also subject to the MetLife Central Countdown Card Program Official Program Terms and Conditions (“OPTC”) which are available at metlifecentral.com and at the MetLife Central kiosks located inside and outside of the Stadium.
4) How to Play/Winner Selection: During the Promotion Period, follow the instructions provided to take either one of the following actions: 1) Using a Game Card: swipe your Game Card on the designated computer at any MetLife Central kiosk available outside or inside the Stadium; OR 2) Using the Pocket Pass application on your Compatible Device: After accessing Pocket Pass on your Compatible Device, follow the directions provided to select the Game and play as instructed. If you swipe your Game Card or play via Pocket Pass at a randomly selected winning time (as determined by Sponsor) or if no one swipes another Game Card or plays via Pocket Pass at such time and you are the first to do so thereafter (as determined by Sponsor), you will receive a message on the computer screen or mobile phone (as applicable) that you are a potential instant win prize winner, subject to the terms of these Official Rules and the OPTC. You may also receive a text message and/or an email notifying you that you are a potential instant win prize winner. Standard text messaging and data rates apply for text messages and data sent and received. See your wireless service provider for pricing plan details. Prize award is subject to verification of eligibility, winning Game play and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules and the OPTC. Limit one (1) Game play per person in any 10-minute interval during the Promotion Period, regardless of method of Game play. For the 10 minute interval following a valid Game play, any additional Game plays will be void. A Game play will apply only to the 10-minute interval during which it is submitted. All Game plays become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. The use of script, macro or automated devices (or any other devices or activities intended to automate or subvert any aspect of participation) to play is prohibited. If Sponsor, in its sole discretion, determines that a participant has used an automated or similar device or engaged in such activities to play, has otherwise acted in a manner that impairs the integrity of the Game, or is in violation of these Official Rules or the OPTC, all Game plays and prize claims from that participant will be void and any prize won will be forfeited. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a participant based on the Game Card swiped or Pocket Pass, Game play will be deemed to be made by the eligible person named on the applicable registration form and he/she must comply with these Official Rules and the OPTC. Released Parties are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, delayed, garbled, inaccurate, damaged, stolen, or undelivered Game Cards, Pocket Pass downloads, registration forms, mobile phones, Game plays or prize claims, or for telephonic, human, kiosk or computer failures, problems or errors, interruptions in service due to system upgrades, repairs, modifications or other causes, failures or malfunctions of connections, satellite, network, cable, Internet Service Provider, wireless service provider, phones, phone lines, cellular towers, or telephone systems (including but not limited to interactive voice response system), accuracy of location based services, traffic congestion on the internet, technical, network, computer, or mechanical malfunctions, or other malfunctions or errors, whether caused by equipment, programming, human error or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Game, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Game, the malfunction of any kiosk computer, the incorrect downloading or use of Pocket Pass or the processing or printing of Game Cards, Game plays or prize claims, the cancellation or postponement of the game, the announcement of the prizes or determination of the winners relating to or resulting from participation in this Game, or for printing, typographical, human or other errors appearing in these Official Rules, the OPTC or other Game-related materials or otherwise related to this Game.
5) How To Claim A Prize: Immediately following your receipt of the message indicating you are a potential winner on the computer or mobile phone screen, visit the designated MetLife prize redemption area and/or notify a MetLife onsite ambassador who will verify your prize claim and eligibility and either hand the applicable prize to you or provide you with further prize claim instructions. Except for your Game Card and Pocket Pass download (as applicable), all materials submitted in connection with claiming a prize will become property of Sponsor and will not be returned. All prize claims must be submitted by the end of the Promotion Period or they will be void. All prize claims are subject to verification of eligibility, winning prize claim form and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules and the OPTC.
6) Prizes/Odds: Three Hundred (300) Instant Win Prizes: Sponsor’s choice of one (1) of the following items: A commemorative Snoopy, a football jersey Snoopy, a Snoopy golf club cover, a MetLife blimp golf club cover, a football fleece blanket, a MetLife fleece blanket, access to the autograph section in the MetLife Central Plaza at the Stadium, or an autographed photo or a New York Giants branded hat. Maximum Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") for any one (1) prize is $10. Duration of access to autograph section, exact player(s) in the autograph section and the exact individual and autograph on photo is at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Actual value of autographed merchandise is subject to market fluctuations. The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible Game plays, the timing of the Game plays and the number of prizes available at time of Game play. Prizes are awarded “as is” without any warranty or guarantee from Sponsor. The Released Parties reserve the right to remove or to deny attendance to any winner who engages in non-sportsmanlike, disruptive or inappropriate behavior, or who annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other person at any activity. Sponsor will make its best effort to accommodate prize choice requests, but winners are not guaranteed that their requested prize will be available and prize awarded will ultimately be at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of any prize not specified herein as being awarded as part of prize, including, but not limited to, all federal, state and local taxes, if any, are each winner’s sole responsibility. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Total maximum ARV of all prizes = $3,000
7) General: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prizes is permitted except by Sponsor which may substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value at its sole discretion. Released Parties are not responsible for late, damaged, stolen, misdirected, fraudulent, garbled, undelivered, damaged, incomplete, lost, inaccurate, or incorrect Game plays. If the number of valid prize claims received for any prize type exceeds the number of such prizes stated in these Official Rules due to printing, seeding, typographical, mechanical, electronic, computer, or other errors or problems, Sponsor reserves the right to hold a random drawing to award the correct number of such prizes stated in these Official Rules from among legitimate, valid and eligible prize claims received, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. In no event will Sponsor award more prizes than set forth herein. By participating, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, the OPTC and the decisions of the Sponsor and its representatives, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Game. Each participants agrees by participating that: 1) the Released Parties and their designees may use (unless prohibited by law), participant’s name, city and state of residence, photograph and/or likeness for advertising, trade and/or any other purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without further compensation, permission or notification; and 2) the Released Parties shall have no liability to participant, and participant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage to participant or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to participant or any other person or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to: 1) the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize; 2) participation in this Game or any travel or activity related thereto; or 3) any issue arising from the participant’s breach of any agreement or warranty associated with the Game. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to: 1) disqualify any participant and void any Game Cards or prize claims of participants, as well as deactivate Pocket Passes of any participants who Sponsor believes have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Game or are in violation of these Official Rules or the OPTC; and 2) modify, terminate or suspend this Game (or any portion thereof) should non-authorized human intervention or other causes corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Game and, if terminated, to award the prizes from among all valid, eligible prize claims received up to such time. Released Parties are not responsible for, and participant agrees not to make any claim in connection with, any delay, cancellation, postponement, change, or other impact on or modification of or to the Game or any element thereof resulting from or arising out of any work stoppage, including without limitation, any lockout or strike. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
